IT Tip: iManage search using "Boolean Operators"
print icon

We all know how to perform simple word(s) searches by entering the word or term in the iManage search field.

Try using the Boolean operators AND, OR, and NOT to level up your search game.

For example:

Type retainer agreement and you’ll get a ton of results.

Narrow this by typing retainer agreement AND signed to only include results with the word “signed”.

Retainer agreement NOT signed will include results that do not contain “signed”

Bonus tip: Surround words or phrases in quotes to includes results where those words or phrases appear exactly as typed.

Example:  retainer agreement AND signed will yield different results than “signed retainer agreement” (with quotes).

Happy searching!
