IT Tip: Setting Chrome to Open in Specific Pages

Did you know that you can set Chrome to open specific pages upon opening the browser? This can save time if you find yourself visiting the same sites every day. The easiest way to do this:

  1. Open the sites/pages in Chrome that you would like to open whenever you open your browser.
  2. Click the “Customize and control Google Chrome” icon, then click Settings\ (see right).
  3. On the left side, click “On startup”. Then click “Open a specific page or set of pages”. The currently open tabs should be displayed (see below).
  4. Close the settings tab.

Alternatively, you can select “Continue where you left off”. This will cause the all of the tabs in your current session to re-open after you have closed Chrome. This is helpful when you need to quickly get back to the sites/tables after signing out or restarting your computer.
