IT Tip: Ctrl V versus Windows V

If you ever need to copy and paste from multiple sources to one location, use Windows + V instead of CTRL+V.

  • Copy (CTRL+C) from multiple places (ex. a web page, a PDF, a Word document), then press Windows +V to display a list of recently copied items.
  • Then simply click the item to paste.

 

*The Windows key is located to the left your space bar. It has the Windows logo -- see image below
